A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME IN QUAY COUNTY
Tucumcari Historical Museum is a look into the past.
A lot of big city museums are antiseptic and sterile.
This museum is different!
It's like one giant attic of old items.
What constitutes a museum exhibit?
A collection of used cowboy boots, a bucket of particularly colorful cow-patties,
piles of family scrapbooks, bootleg liquor stills, a roulette wheel, you name it, we've got it!
What is exciting is that the collection is like buried treasure.
There is an excellent chance you will see something that the rest of the world didn't even know existed...
ALL ABOARD!
Tucumcari came into being in 1901
with the coming of the railroad.
The stucco and red tile roof depot is
just seven blocks away.
