Mission Statement
The City of Tucumcari Recreation Department strives to enhance the lives of
community residents and visitors of all ages by providing a wide range of
quality leisure experiences through our recreation facilities, programs and
services. Through these efforts, we hope to advance the health and wellness
of individuals and families, foster community spirit, contribute to the vitality
of the local economy, and promote a high quality of life in
Tucumcari. The City
of Tucumcari Recreation Department provides youth and adult sports and
facilities within the city. The department plans, organizes, and
supports various sports programs, such as youth football and volleyball during
the fall, girls and boys basketball in the winter, and girls and coed softball
in the summer. The department also maintains the municipal swimming
pool during the late spring and summer. The rec center is open year-round
and has a full-size basketball court, weight room, pool tables, and outdoor
skate park.
