Senior Center Programs Client Outreach Coordinator: Under administrative direction of the Senior Center Programs Director, candidate will be in charge of registration and assessment of all senior citizens who utilize services at center, re-assessment of senior citizens on an annual basis for congregate meals and responsible for turning in registration/assessments to the Senior Center Program Director as well as Non Metro AAA on a daily basis. Youth Conservation Corps. Grant (YCC): Interested applicants should be between the ages of 15 to 25, unemployed, New Mexico Residents, and Enrolled in School. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment/post offer drug and alcohol screening. Applications and job requirements may be obtained at City Hall, 215 E. Center. Interested persons must submit an application to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 PM on May 2, 2014. Preference will be given to prior YCC employment. No late applications will be accepted.
RADIO DISPATCHER/PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR: Applicants must possess a valid NM driver’s license, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute. This position will require flexible work schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Applications will be accepted until Monday, April 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. and will remain open until filled.
Lifeguards – Applicants must be 16 years of age or older to be considered. There are multiple temporary lifeguard positions.
Pool Manager – Applicant must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position. Applicant for this position will be required to oversee the daily operations of the swimming pool and will be responsible for the supervision of lifeguards. This position is classified as a temporary full-time position.
Bartenders - Under administrative direction of the Convention Center Director candidates will work on an as needed basis, for numerous events. Must have servers license and experience is desired. Interested applicants must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license with no major driving infractions. Applicants must be willing to submit to a post offer pre-employment drug and alcohol test. POLICE OFFICER - Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Law enforcement experience and certification is preferred, but not required. Written, oral, and physical agility testing will be administered, must be a US citizen, no felony convictions, and must possess good verbal and writing skills. Must also pass all phases of testing to be considered for position. This position will remain open.
BASIC, EMT-I and PARAMEDIC - These positions require individuals who are able to respond to emergency care and rescue; maintain control, manage and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; and perform other emergency medical procedures. Drives and/or manages the ambulance while on duty, operates in a safe manner while responding to the scene and during the transport of patients. Applicants must possess Basic, EMT- I or Paramedic certification. These positions will remain open.
First Responder – This position requires individuals that will be responsible for driving, and/or manages the ambulance while on duty, operates in a safe manner while responding to the scene and during the transport of patients. Applicants must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule. Applicants must possess a New Mexico First Responder Certification. This position will remain open until filled.
