The City of Tucumcari is currently accepting applications for the following positions.
Water Operator OIT: This candidate will perform basic work in the operation of the water distribution and sewer collection systems. This is the entry- level position in the Water Operator class. Typical assignments include cleaning and maintenance of ground and shop areas, assisting with repairs to leaking or broken water mains, inspection of equipment, storage tanks and wells, adjustment, installation and repair of service connections, repair and preventative maintenance of water distribution and waste water collection system lines. The Operator OIT closely follows standard procedures for accurate process control under the supervision of a more senior Operator(s) to maintain operations within regulatory requirements. Applications will be accepted until filled . These positions will remain open until filled.
Senior Programs Assistant Cook (Part-Time): The City of Tucumcari is also currently accepting applications for a Senior Programs Assistant Cook at both Logan, NM and Tucumcari, NM locations. The assistant cook is responsible for daily kitchen operations to include food preparation, food service and cleaning of kitchen at the Tucumcari Site. The assistant cook shall work with the Head Cook, Site Manager and the Program Director to be an advocate on behalf of Senior Citizens to assure that they obtain the necessary services and information to enhance their quality of life. Applications for this position will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Monday July 7, 2014. This position will remain open until filled.
Maintenance Technician /
will be responsible under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or
Housing Manager and/or Executive Director for overall maintenance of Housing
Authority properties. One to two (1-2) years’ experience in various areas of
general maintenance. Skills required but not limited to are knowledge of
electrical, plumbing and general construction are a must. Must work well with
others and independently and possess good communication skills. This position
requires a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Applications
will be accepted for this position until filled.
Airport Attendant : Eligible applicant must be 18 years or older, any aviation experience is highly desired. Applicant will greet customers and provide services as directed by Airport Manager. Applications must be turned in by Friday June 27, 2014.
ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER (Part Time): Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Written and oral testing will be administered. Applicant must be a US citizen, no felony convictions, and must possess good verbal and writing skills. Applicants must pass all phases of testing to be considered for position. Employment applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
BARTENDERS: Under administrative direction of the Convention Center Director candidates will work on an as needed basis, for numerous events. Must have servers license and experience is desired. Interested applicants must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license with no major driving infractions. Applicants must be willing to submit to a post offer pre-employment drug and alcohol test. POLICE OFFICER: Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Law enforcement experience and certification is preferred, but not required. Written, oral, and physical agility testing will be administered, must be a US citizen, no felony convictions, and must possess good verbal and writing skills. Must also pass all phases of testing to be considered for position. This position will remain open.
BASIC, EMT-I and PARAMEDICS: These positions require individuals who are able to respond to emergency care and rescue; maintain control, manage and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; and perform other emergency medical procedures. Drives and/or manages the ambulance while on duty, operates in a safe manner while responding to the scene and during the transport of patients. Applicants must possess Basic, EMT- I or Paramedic certification. These positions will remain open.
FIRST RESPONDER: This position requires individuals that will be responsible for driving, and/or manages the ambulance while on duty, operates in a safe manner while responding to the scene and during the transport of patients. Applicants must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule. Applicants must possess a New Mexico First Responder Certification. This position will remain open until filled.
All applicants must have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License, with no major driving infractions.
