NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Qualifications-based competitive sealed proposals for professional services will be received by the Contracting Agency, City of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

The Contracting Agency is requesting proposals for professional services for Scenic & Historic Byways Program. This project is intended to strengthen the City of Tucumcari Convention Center and its ability to serve communities along the historic corridor. The Scope of Work includes but not limited to create an electronic interpretive kiosk and an interpretive DVD for Rt. 66 National Scenic Byway and create a brochure for Rt. 66 National Scenic Byway in New Mexico. The City reserves the right to re-advertise for proposals for design and construction management services for future phases.

Proposals will be received at Tucumcari City Hall in the Commission Chambers, P.O. Box 1188, 215 E. Center Street, Tucumcari, New Mexico 88401, until April 21, 2010, at 3:00 PM

Copies of the Request for Proposals can be obtained in person at the Community Development Center located at 512 South Eighth Street, Tucumcari, New Mexico or can be mailed upon written or telephone request at the Community Development Center, P.O. Box 1188, Tucumcari, New Mexico 88401 at (575) 461-2143.

A Pre-Proposal Conference will not be held.

The City of Tucumcari (Owner) reserves the right to accept or reject any, part of, or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to make any investigations deemed necessary of a Proposer’s ability to perform the work covered by the proposal and to accept what in the judgment of the Owner is the best proposal.

The Procurement Code, Section 13-1-19 through 13-1-28 NMSA 1978 imposes civil and criminal penalties for its violation. In addition, the New Mexico criminal statutes impose felony penalties for illegal bribes, gratuities and kickbacks.
